Art Contest
Keep Texas Beautiful is developing its own art contest that will be launched in Fall 2021. Details will be announced in early fall.
As of January 1, 2021, the Don't mess with Texas art contest will no longer be held by the Texas Department of Transportation. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we look forward to seeing your art this fall!
Congratulations to the winners of the 2020 Don't mess with Texas® Art Contest!
Keep Texas Beautiful and The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) have selected artwork by 14 Texan students to appear in the 2021 Don’t mess with Texas Calendar. The calendar will include 14 winning designs submitted by students from across the state in the annual Don’t mess with Texas K-12 Art Contest. Each winning student will receive:
- a framed version of their winning artwork
- a Samsung Galaxy Tablet
- a gift basket full of their favorite goodies from Texas' legendary store Buc-ee's
- Teachers representing students also win a $100 H-E-B/Central Market gift card.
Twelve winning designs are assigned to a month in the calendar and two additional are featured on the front and back cover of the 2021 Don’t mess with Texas calendar. At least one winner was chosen from each grade level.
