Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) and H-E-B are proud to offer The Our Texas, Our Future Grants (previously named the Green Bag Grants) program, which provides funding for new and existing programs across Texas.

Projects can fall within the following categories and can be used in both formal and informal educational settings:

• Beautification
• Litter Prevention
• Recycling
• Waste Reduction
• Water Conservation
• Wildlife Protection and Habitat Restoration

Grant Amount
The minimum grant award is $1,000, and the maximum award is $5,000.

Eligibility

You must be a KTB affiliate in an H-E-B service area with Gold Star, Silver Star, or Good Standing affiliate status for 2024.

While not a requirement, affiliates are strongly encouraged to partner with

• Local schools and/or youth groups,
• Local H-E-B stores, including Central Market, H-E-B Plus, Mi Tienda, or Joe V’s Smart Shop stores
• Recreational venues
• Government agencies
• Community organizations

Multiple projects in a community may be funded, but a separate application must be received for each distinct project.

Application Questions

Thanks to the generous support of Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, and in celebration of Texas Recycles Day, Keep Texas Beautiful is proud to announce the Texas Recycles Day Grants. This grant provides funding opportunities to help strengthen their existing recycling programs. This grant is open to Keep Texas Beautiful affiliates and Keep Texas Recycling program partners.

Projects must fall within one or more of the following categories:

● Education and Outreach
● Improvement Projects
● Infrastructure and Equipment

Projects that address the collection of PET and/or aluminium cans will be given special consideration.

Eligible applicants are:

● Keep Texas Beautiful Affiliates in Good Standing or better, and new KTB affiliates
● Keep Texas Recycling Partners
● Special consideration will be given to communities that are members of both KTB and KTR.
