Tyler’s Park Service Day
Keep Tyler Beautiful invites Tyler residents to bring their family and friends to help beautify community parks through restoration projects during Park Service Day on Saturday, September 16 from 9 a.m. to Noon.
Each September, Keep Tyler Beautiful hosts a Park Service Day event as a way for the community to give back and help beautify neighborhood parks. Hundreds of volunteers take on beautification projects. These projects are made possible thanks to local sponsors each year.
All pre-registered volunteers will receive a shirt, lunch and other goodies along with a chance to win door prizes. This year’s projects will take place at the following parks:
- City Park
- Gassaway Park
- Fun Forest Park
- Winters Park
- Woldert Park
Volunteers will be assigned locations via email as the event gets closer. We are asking for volunteers to meet at their assigned park location by 8:45 a.m. in order to get signed in and started on your projects by 9 a.m. Please wear sunscreen and appropriate clothing and shoes for working outside. Also, some water will be provided but bringing your own water is highly recommended and helps reduce our plastic waste.
