KLB’s 40th Birthday Trinity Trash Bash

Keep Lewisville Beautiful (KLB) is celebrating 40 years of serving the Lewisville community with a special birthday edition of its annual Trinity Trash Bash on Saturday, November 14, 2026, and is inviting volunteers, businesses, and community members to join the celebration by giving back to the environment.

In partnership with the City of Lewisville, Keep Lewisville Beautiful will host its annual city-wide waterway cleanup to remove litter from local parks, greenbelts, the Trinity River shoreline, and Lewisville Lake. Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate in this community-wide effort to protect local waterways, improve public spaces, and celebrate four decades of environmental stewardship.

As part of the 40th birthday celebration, volunteers are needed both at cleanup sites throughout the city and onsite at Thrive (1950 S Valley Parkway) to assist with event activities. Registration is required and is open now through Sunday, November 8, for both individuals and groups.

This free community event is held in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful’s Fall Sweep and Keep Texas Beautiful statewide cleanup efforts. In addition to the cleanup, attendees can enjoy a Texas Arbor Day celebration featuring a residential tree giveaway (tree registration required, spaces are limited), an environmental expo with hands-on educational activities, community partner booths, free native wildflower seed giveaways, and environmental crafts for families. Cleanup activities will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., while the environmental expo will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Thrive.

Volunteers will receive complimentary snacks and a commemorative volunteer T-shirt while supplies last. Participants will also have opportunities to compete for cleanup trophies and win door prizes generously donated by local community partners.

Keep Lewisville Beautiful will provide cleanup supplies, although volunteers are welcome to bring their own if preferred. Participants will be assigned to one of approximately sixty cleanup locations throughout Lewisville before returning collected litter to designated event dumpsters.

Community support continues to make a tremendous impact. During this past spring’s cleanup, more than 333 volunteers removed 285 bags of litter from Lewisville streets, parks, waterways, and neighborhoods. This fall, KLB hopes to surpass those numbers as part of its 40th anniversary celebration.
