Fort Parker State Park’s Limestone Bluffs Paddling Trail Clean-up

Got a kayak or canoe? Committed to keeping Texas waterways trash-free? Enjoy a morning on the water at Fort Parker State Park in Mexia, TX (about 45min from Waco/Corsicana) and help keep the Limestone Bluffs Paddling Trail trash-free. The Limestone Bluffs Paddling Trail is a 5.3mile (one-way) trail between Fort Parker State Park and the Confederate Reunion Grounds. This peaceful paddling trail on the Navasota River will also take you through a portion of Fort Parker Lake. Don’t want to paddle the whole 10.6 miles? Arrange for a driver to pick you up at the Confederate Union Grounds or simply turn around when you get tired. The Navasota River is known for having little current. Supplies for trash pick-up will be provided and the park has limited boats available for volunteer use. To sign up please contact leah.turner@tpwd.texas.gov.
