Grapevine: Why Prairies Matter
A prairie is a diverse ecosystem of mainly native grasses and flowering plants with prairie wildlife, soil, geology, and fire playing important roles. More than 100 plant species can occur in a prairie of fewer than five acres. At this month’s ECO Talk, Why Prairies Matter, hosted by Keep Grapevine Beautiful, we will learn from an expert how we can protect, restore, and educate others about these precious ecosystems.
