Waste Management Recycle Often, Recycle Right Grant - Opens

The RORR Grant will provide affiliate communities with $500 - $1,500 to purchase recycling bins to either start a new recycling program (community, office, or school) or add to an existing recycling program. Affiliates applying for the grant should already have a recycling plan in place, through either an existing recycling program or plans with a waste hauler or local government to implement a new recycling program. Along with grant money to purchase bins, KTB will also provide educational materials through Waste Management’s Recycle Often, Recycle Right campaign, as well as technical assistance in placing bins or educating recyclers.

Application due to KTB by Thursday, December 20 at 5 p.m. CST.

DEADLINE - Waste Management Recycle Often, Recycle Right Grant

Keep Texas Beautiful, in partnership with Waste Management, is proud to announce the 2018 Waste Management Recycle Often, Recycle Right (RORR) Grant. Waste Management developed the Recycle Often, Recycle Right recycling education program based on national best practices to increase recycling and decrease contamination. More information can be found at RORR.com.

2019 Governor's Community Achievement Awards

Who Keeps Texas Beautiful?  If you do, your community could be a winner. This year, 10 communities will share $2 million in landscape awards from the Texas Department of Transportation for their outstanding overall efforts to keep their communities beautiful.

The Don’t mess with Texas® Scholarship recognizes the achievements of high school seniors who have taken leadership roles to prevent litter in their schools and communities. Any Texas high school senior planning to pursue a two- or four-year degree at an accredited Texas college or university next year and currently attending public, private, or home school in Texas may apply. One $6,000 scholarship and two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded this May.

Applications must be received by online submission or postmarked by 5 p.m. (CST) March 29, 2019.
