Webinar: Dark Skies Initiative

Join this webinar to learn more about the dark sky initiative, which works to protect the night skies and fragile ecosystems in parks and protected areas worldwide. Speakers on this webinar include Adam Dalton with the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA). IDA is the recognized authority on light pollution and is the leading organization combating light pollution worldwide. Adam will speak about the benefits of dark sky initiatives and will discuss ways communities can start being more "dark sky friendly" without necessarily pursuing certification at this point.

Our other webinar speaker will be Michelle Fischer with the City of Dripping Springs, a dark-sky certified community in Texas, and Keep Dripping Springs Beautiful. She will walk attendees through the process of certification and why this initiative is important for City leaders and residents.

If you or your community has considered becoming more dark sky friendly, you will want to join this webinar to learn more about how to implement dark sky initiatives and combat light pollution.
