    Keep Texas Beautiful is looking for speakers and presenters for our 51st Annual Conference June 11-13 in Georgetown, Texas. Each year, we host this conference to provide high-quality education and networking opportunities for our affiliate communities. This three day, multi-track format offers attendees a variety of education sessions and interactive forums.     Exhibits will be open Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

    Exhibitor Opportunities

    The conference serves as the annual event for community, government and business leaders to network, gain knowledge and be rewarded for their outstanding community improvement efforts. Our partnerships with public, private and civic entities afford your company’s exhibit a broad-based, diverse audience. We expect to register more than 500 attendees in 2018. Attendees include affiliate leaders, law enforcement officials, educators, volunteers, youth, board members, state agences and elected officials. You will make statewide contacts through our network of more than 400 community affiliates, which represent more than 22 million Texans!

    • Listing in eNews and Community Strong: Affiliate Network News (internal and external KTB newsletters with an estimated audience of over 5,000)

    Attendee roster
    • Expected attendance of more than 500 people
    • Attendee list will be provided in your exhibitor packet upon arrival -- final attendee list will be emailed after conference

    Conference Registration
    • One (1) complimentary registration that includes (1) ticket to each meal event
    • Excellent visibility and opportunity to network with conference attendees
    • Option to purchase additional meal tickets if needed

    Traffic Generating Features

    A number of features exist that are designed to increase traffic flow in the exhibit area. They include:
    • Exhibit Area Refreshments: Attendees will join exhibitors for refreshments in the exhibit area, including morning coffee service.
    • Prize Drawings: As attendees visit your booth, you can collect business cards and valuable contacts by offering a prize or gift. Please note that each exhibitor is responsible for the logistics surrounding their drawing(s), as well as winner announcement and prize distribution.
    • Exhibitor Bingo: To encourage as many attendees as possible to visit our exhibitors’ booths and learn about your products and services, conference attendees will receive a BINGO card with exhibitor names printed on it. Completed cards will be entered into a raffle drawing to win a select prize. Please note that attendees will ask that you sign the BINGO card as they visit with you.

    Exhibit Booth Specifications

    Exhibitor booths will be open Monday through Wednesday. In order to have the exhibits placed within the most visible, high traffic area, space is limited. Booth dimensions are approximately 8’ by 10’. Each booth includes: one (1) six foot skirted table and two (2) chairs designated with tabletop sign. Electricity is available for a number of tables on a first-come, first-served basis. No large exhibit setups, please. Exhibitors who need additional space for their display may purchase an adjacent exhibit space and pay the registration fee for each booth. Please do not hang anything on the wall.

  • Out & About

    Our annual Keep Texas Beautiful conference, on June 11-13, will take place in Georgetown this year. Before and after the conference, make sure to appreciate the culture, history, and natural beauty this historic town has to offer! We’ve assembled a short list of activities you can do in Georgetown to help make your conference experience a memorable one.

    Lake Georgetown
    Keep Texas waterways clean! Enjoy the incredible Texas landscapes we work so hard to protect. If you’d like to enjoy 1,297 acre lake, paddleboards and kayaks are available from the Georgetown Paddle Company. To make a reservation, call at 512-868-1300 or visit their website here.

    Wildfire Restaurant
    Hungry? Grab a bite to eat at one of Georgetown’s finest establishments. A classic steakhouse and bar located downtown. Featuring delicious, wood-smoked meats and seafoods, Wildfire has been described as “a reason to move to Georgetown.” Drop in for lunch, dinner, or even just cocktails.     Berry Springs Park and Preserve
    A few miles north of town lies Berry Springs, a beautiful park complete with gardens, fishing, and a hiking trail. Voted as Georgetown’s “Best Kept Secret” back in 2010, Berry Springs is the perfect spot to stop in and unwind. Make sure to bring your fishing poles!

    Georgetown Art Center
    Managed by local nonprofit Georgetown Artworks and free to the public, the new Georgetown Art Center is located downtown in the Historic Firehouse building, which has stood since 1892. Inside, you can enjoy works from a different nationally renowned artist every month, as well as a wide range of works from local artists and craftsmen. For more information, visit their website.

    Williamson Museum
    Immerse yourself in the rich history of Georgetown and Williamson County. Located in Georgetown Square and entirely free to the public, make sure to stop in! With an incredible amount of history packed into a small space, you can stay for 15 minutes or 5 hours. For more information, visit their website.

    Blue Hole
    Not to be confused with the Blue Hole of Wimberly, Georgetown’s own swimming spot has plenty to offer. Just north of downtown and along the San Gabriel river, Blue Hole is a great local hangout for swimming, wading, or just lying in the shade. For more information, visit the Parks Department website.

    Walking Trails
    The Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department has almost 9 miles of trails running along the San Gabriel Rivers and through the various parks in the city. Most trails are lighted and are a great way to explore the full breadth of the city. For more information, visit the Parks Department website.

    Inner Space Cavern
    One of the best-preserved caves in Texas, Inner Space Cavern can be found just south of Georgetown off of IH35. Inner Space Cavern was discovered by the Texas Highway Department in 1963 after being hidden for over 10,000 years. Inside, you can expect to be treated to sights such as incredible limestone formations, as well as prehistoric remains. For more information, visit Inner Space Cavern’s website.

    When does the 2018 conference officially begin and end?
    Pre-Conference workshops will be held on Monday, June 11, but the official conference kickoff is the Keynote Luncheon on Monday, June 11, at 12:30 p.m. The conference closes after the KTB Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, June 13.

    Do I need to register in advance for the breakout sessions that I would like to attend?
    Breakout sessions are open on first come, first served basis, so arrive at your session rooms early to be sure you'll get a seat.

    Do I have to register to attend the Pre-Conference sessions?
    Yes. Specialized training day sessions are not included in full or single-day registration packages and must be registered for separately. The sessions are offered concurrently; therefore, only one may be attended.

    I've already registered but cannot attend. Can I cancel or transfer my registration?

    Is there a group discount?
    We do not offer a group discount at this time.

    Can my spouse/children/friends/colleagues come with me to education sessions/lunches/receptions?
    Yes, but they do need to pay the appropriate registration fees for the event(s).

    I would like to bring my children for the day. What activities will you have for them during the week while I attend the sessions?
    We are not sponsoring any youth activities during the conference.

    If I have only registered for one or two days of the conference, can I still participate in the Full Conference if I pay the difference onsite?

    If I do not like the education session I am in, may I leave and attend another?
    You are welcome to leave, but please do not disturb the sessions.

    I am on a vegetarian/vegan/allergy specific diet. How do I ensure that my meal meets my dietary requirements?
    Upon registering for the conference, please indicate your dietary needs. You will receive a meal card in your onsite registration packet. Please present the meal card to your server at the event(s) in which you participate to receive the designated meal. If you do not have a meal card in your packet, please alert the registration desk staff by 10:00 a.m. on the day of the meal in which you are attending so that we can make the appropriate accommodations.

    Will there be a printed conference brochure available onsite?
    The final program and exhibit guide will be in your registration envelope, along with your special meal ticket (if applicable) and other helpful information.

    Are there accommodations for special needs at the conference?
    Yes. You have the opportunity to make any special requests when submitting your conference registration.

    Will session information be available to attendees after conference?
    Session presentations will be emailed to all eligible attendees in the month after the conference (pending speaker agreement).

    Will there be KTB merchandise for sale during the conference?
    Merchandise (KTB ornaments, T-shirts, hats, etc.) will be sold in the Gift Shop during the conference.

    Do you collect feedback about the conference?
    Yes. All attendees will receive an email including a link to the general conference survey in the days following the conference. Attendees will also have an opportunity to rate all individual breakout sessions. We appreciate your input!
