DESCRIPTION:The Woodlands Township invites residents to bring select items for a FREE, one-day special collection at the 3R Recycling Drive-thru located at the Sterling Ridge Park & Ride on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon. This free event is an opportunity to recycle items that cannot be recycled in curbside carts.\nHelp by following these guidelines: Bag or box like items together and place in your trunk or back seat. Volunteers will provide a full-service drive-thru, so please stay in your vehicle. A donation of five cans of food or $5 will benefit Interfaith of The Woodlands Food Pantry. No business items will be accepted.  \nAccepted Items\n\nBatteries – Alkaline AA, AAA, C, D, and 9V only\nBicycles in any condition\nBlock Styrofoam - No food containers or cups\nDisposable Razors and packaging.\nEyeglasses, sunglasses and cases.\nLightbulbs – Incandescent, Compact Fluorescent (CFL) and LED only. Must be intact, not broken. No tube lights over 4 feet.\nOral Care Products - Toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes and floss containers.\nPlastic Bags & Film – Any plastic film that is clean, dry and stretches.\nSmall Electronics – One file box or paper shopping bag per vehicle. Laptops, tablets, cell phones and cords only. No TVs or monitors. Proof of Woodlands address (Driver’s License or utility bill required).\nSnack & Drink Pouches - Any brand that comes with a straw or lid.\nTextiles - Used clothing, shoes, linens, fabric scrap in any condition.\n\nPlease note, most of these items can be recycled year-round at participating locations in The Woodlands. Check out the Recycle More Guide for a list of convenient drop off locations.\nThe 3R Recycling Drive-thru is hosted by The Woodlands Township Environmental Services Department in partnership with Waste Management, The Lions Club, Chevron Phillips Chemical, Green City Recycler, Bike The Woodlands, Recycled Cycles of Texas, and Girl Scout Troop 108094.\n
