Keep Texas Beautiful is pleased to introduce YEL! (Young Environmental Leaders), an improved combination of Keep Texas Beautiful’s Youth Environmental Stewards (YES) and the Campus Affiliate Program. As the largest community improvement organization in the state, Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) can help you become a leader in your community! From one youth to an entire school, there is a YEL! level for youth of any age
Youth & Educator Awards
Keep Texas Beautiful recognizes the efforts made by individual youth and youth groups to enhance their community and protect the Lone Star State's environment.
Litter Force
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is now targeting even younger Texans with its litter-prevention campaign. The Litter Force Team teaches elementary-age children about the perils of littering and how they can help 'blast the trash' and protect Texas roadways from litter. (note: this link takes you away from the KTB web site)
Waste In Place
The Waste In Place curriculum, created by Keep America Beautiful,addresses the problem of waste and its disposal alternatives, and emphasizes responsible solid waste handling practices through hands-on activities for K-8th grade. This unique curriculum aims to encourage informed decisions by our future community leaders.

Patch Program
Patch Program Keep Texas Beautiful's Youth Patch Program was launched and supported by the Honorable Ruthe Jackson, a founding member of KTB and councilwoman in Grand Prairie. For years Ms. Jackson fulfilled patch orders out of her home. Eventually, the state office took over the ordering and inventory duties, but through the years the program fell by the wayside.
Push Broom
“PB” (Push Broom) the Keep Texas Beautiful Youth Mascot :: PB, the Keep Texas Beautiful youth mascot, was created in honor of “O. P.” Schnabel, a founding member of Keep Texas Beautiful, who was often referred to as “Old Push Broom.” KTB has PB images that are available for use as well as a PB costume that your affiliate can rent!
From the Young Environmental Leaders and Campus Affiliate memberships to the Waste In Place curriculum and Patch Program, our youth programs are fostering budding enviornmental stewards and ensuring a bright future for Texas!
