Whether a school has an extensive recycling program or is just getting basic recycling collections off the ground, experience has shown that all schools have potential to increase their recycling rates. Recycle-Bowl provides a tool for teachers, student green teams and facility service professionals to engage their K-12 school community in a fun and friendly way.

Register. Recycle. Report.
Think your school has game? Register to enter the competition online at To compete, your school will collect, track and then report your recyclable material during a four-week timeframe from mid-October to mid-November.

The National Title: America's Top Recycling School! A national champion will be chosen from the top state winners to receive an additional prize.
School Division Champions: A winner from each U.S. state and the District of Columbia will receive national recognition and bragging rights based on the most recycled material per person, per school.
Involve your community: To keep things fair, if your school collects recyclable material from around the community or parent's homes, this will be treated as a separate division. Schools will track the amount of material recovered per person and will compete with other schools on a national level. The Community Division offers another opportunity to receive national recognition as a Division Champion.
