*The Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off, Texas’ signature litter pick-up event, will take place on Saturday, April 4th, 2009!
What: Cleanup, fix-up, paint-up, green-up to help keep your community beautiful. Activities can include litter cleanups; litter-free events, school & community playground/park cleanup, renovation or construction; any type of community beautification (e.g. Adopt-A-Spot); roadway cleanup & beautification; clothing collection; reduce, reuse, recycle activities/education; river, lake, seashore cleanups; graffiti removal; cell phone recycling fundraisers; & many more. You can have as many events as you want during the program period.
Who:
Your Great American Cleanup™ can involve
volunteers from all walks of life …from Boy Scouts
to business leaders, Governors, Mayors, VIPs & celebrities,
to schools, garden clubs, bicycle clubs, scuba divers,
community groups, sororities, fraternities, sports teams,
the military, etc. How:
