When does the 2017 conference officially begin and end?
Pre-Conference workshops will be held on Monday, June 12, but the official conference kickoff is the Keynote Luncheon on Monday, June 12, at 12:30 pm. The conference closes after the KTB Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, June 14.

What are the registration deadlines?
Early registration pricing ends on May 10. Pricing will increase after that date, and will increase once again for onsite registrants. Online registration is open until through June 2. You can register onsite at the Westin Riverwalk beginning June 12.

What sessions are included in the Full Conference registration package?
Registration details coming soon!

What is included with the Single Day registration?
Single Day registration options are meant to be a la carte, and will include all keynote presentations, breakout sessions, award ceremonies and meal functions (if applicable). Please note that the Wednesday Single Day registration does NOT include the GCAA Dinner. You must purchase a GCAA Dinner Single Event Ticket in order to attend.

Do I need to register in advance for the breakout sessions that I would like to attend?
Breakout sessions are open on first come, first served basis, so arrive at your session rooms early to be sure you'll get a seat.

Do I have to register to attend the Pre-Conference sessions?
Yes. Specialized training day sessions are not included in full or single-day registration packages and must be registered for separately. The sessions are offered concurrently; therefore, only one may be attended.

I've already registered but cannot attend. Can I cancel or transfer my registration?
You may substitute another individual in your place at no extra charge, but the replacement's registration fee will be subject to pricing based on date substitution is made. Cancellations can be made through May 10, 2017.

Is there a group discount?
We do not offer a group discount at this time.

Can my spouse/children/friends/colleagues come with me to education sessions/lunches/receptions?
Yes, but they do need to pay the appropriate registration fees for the event(s).

I would like to bring my children for the day. What activities will you have for them during the week while I attend the sessions?
We are not sponsoring any youth activities during the conference.

Can I volunteer during my time at the conference?

If I have only registered for one or two days of the conference, can I still participate in the Full Conference if I pay the difference onsite?

If I do not like the education session I am in, may I leave and attend another?
You are welcome to leave, but please do not disturb the sessions.

I am on a vegetarian/vegan/allergy specific diet. How do I ensure that my meal meets my dietary requirements?
Upon registering for the conference, please indicate your dietary needs. You will receive a meal card in your onsite registration packet. Please present the meal card to your server at the event(s) in which you particpate to receive the designated meal. If you do not have a meal card in your packet, please alert the registration desk staff by 10:00 am on the day of the meal in which you are attending so that we can make the appropriate accomodations.


Is there a special rate for conference attendees at the Omni Hotel?
The conference rate is $159/night (+tax if applicable). Please see the Lodging & Transportation page for more information.

I'm driving. Where do I park?
There are three parking options at the Westin Riverwalk.
  • Overnight valet parking is available for $39/day.
  • One time (non-overnight) parking is available for $22/day.
  • A self-pay garage is located across the street.


Where do I pick up my name badge and registration materials?
At the registration desk, located in the Ballroom foyer on the second floor of the Westin.

Will there be a printed conference brochure available onsite?
The final program and exhibit guide will be in your registration envelope, along with your special meal ticket (if applicable) and other helpful information.

Are there accommodations for special needs at the conference?
Yes. You have the opportunity to make any special requests when submitting your conference registration.

Will session information be available to attendees after conference?
Session presentations will be emailed to all eligible attendees in the month after the conference (pending speaker agreement).

Will there be KTB merchandise for sale duing the conference?
Merchandise (KTB ornaments, T-shirts, hats, etc.) will be sold in the Gift Shop during the conference.

Do you collect feedback about the conference?
Yes. All attendees will receive an email including a link to the general conference survey in the days following the conference. Attendees will also have an opportunity to rate all individual breakout sessions. We appreciate your input!
