Susan Johannes
Susan Johannes is an active member of Keep Fort Worth Beautiful, and serves a key role in the organization’s Education and Outreach Committee. For the past year or so, however, Susan has been living a double life. During the day she becomes Recycle Girl, dressing up in high fashion items from her recycling cart. As Recycle Girl, Susan organizes programs for schoolchildren and leads them in songs about taking care of the earth through healthy eating, recycling, zero waste lunches and litter prevention. She was leading these programs long before joining KFWB, but she now plays an integral role as the organization’s number one educator! Susan also sets up programs at schools and churches and is continuously creating new songs and skits to help children learn about keeping our earth clean and green. She recently addressed an older audience, though, giving a talk at her husband’s office about the benefits of recycling and going green. Keep Fort Worth Beautiful is thankful for all Susan does to contribute to the health and wellness of the community!
