Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, located in Southwest Austin, serves to introduce people to the beauty and diversity of wildflowers and other native plants. While the public enjoys its beautiful gardens, the Center is also one of the country’s most credible research institutions and effective advocates for native plants.

This partnership is a natural alliance of two organizations with complimentary missions. Keep Texas Beautiful with its focus on beautification, and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center with its mission to increase the sustainable use and conservation of native wildflowers, plants and landscapes, creates a multitude of opportunities for both organizations. With the programs and knowledge that the Wildflower Center brings to our extensive network of community affiliates, the possibilities are endless.

Keep Texas Beautiful is an affiliate of the Wildflower Center, with the pledge to support the mission of the organization and share information about the Wildflower Center programs with the KTB affiliate network. The partnership will leverage the unique resources of both organizations in ways that will assure progress as they seek to increase public awareness about the importance of native plants; promote the use, conservation, and restoration of native plants and natural communities; demonstrate the benefits of native plants and natural communities; and generate public support for both organizations.

Programs on which the organizations collaborate include:
